How Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Can Help
As a qualified and accredited CBT Therapist I practice according to the NICE Guidelines and evidence based treatment protocols. CBT is the recommended talking therapy for anxiety and depression.

CBT is a goal-orientated, practical, short-term therapy which focuses on the here and now; your current difficulties.

In CBT we look at the relationship between our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Quite often, the relationship can be unhealthy and cause difficulties in our wellbeing. Therefore, in CBT, we look for these unhealthy vicious cycles, explore the impact and what is maintaining the vicious cycle. Additionally, by using CBT interventions, we can break the vicious cycles to improve your wellbeing.

With my support, you can expect to gain a greater understanding and insight into your current difficulties. Together we will establish your therapy goals, which will help me to formulate an individualised treatment plan, to support you to achieve your goals.
CBT is the recommended evidence-based treatment for, and can help with, the following mental health difficulties:

Depression
Generalised Anxiety (GAD)
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Social Anxiety
Health Anxiety
Panic Disorder (with or without Agoraphobia)
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Phobias (eg. heights; animals, confined spaces etc)

Low Self Esteem
Perfectionism
